Durch ein Medium der Vergangenheit betrachtet, erscheint die Gegenwart selbst als Vergangenheit. Hiroshima 29/3/01 ist eine digitalisierte Super8-Aufzeichnung des A-Bomb Dome, des Wahrzeichens der Stadt, das den Atombombenabwurf vom 6. August 1945 als Ruine überlebt hat. Dem Bild zugeordnet sind Stimmen und Geräusche aus dem heutigen Hiroshima, aufgenommen während eines "audio walk" rund um das Bomben-Denkmal.
Viewed through a medium of the past, the present itself appears as the past. Hiroshima 29/3/01 is a digitized Super8 recording of the A-Bomb Dome, the city's landmark that survived the atomic bombing of August 6, 1945 as a ruin. Associated with the image are voices and sounds from present-day Hiroshima, recorded during an "audio walk" around the bomb memorial.
