Edgar Moreno - Biografie
Biography
Der Fotograf, Anthropologe und Musiker Edgar Moreno wurde am 9. August 1954 in Caracas, Venezuela geboren.
Er studierte einen B.A. in Musik und visueller Kunst an der New Mexico State University, USA (1979); Kunst an der University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA). (1975-79); Druckgrafik und Fotografie am Pratt Institute und der New York School of Arts (1981-82); Grafik an der National Academy of Design (1982) und Kunst am Instituto de Arte Federico Brandt (Caracas, 1991-93). Er studierte Kunst mit Hilfe von Stipendien der italienischen Regierung; und dem London Gas Work Grant für Forschung der Inneri Foundation in Houston, Texas, USA; Teilnahme an der Havanna Biennale 1996, Kuba; an der I Biennale der visuellen Künste Mercosur. Fotofest 1992 -2004 Houston, Texas; Water Biennale und Einzelausstellung im Museo de Bellas Artes, (2003) und Museo Alejandro Otero (1992), in Venezuela.
Er erhielt die folgenden Preise: Auszeichnung für Fotografie, XLV Halle Arturo Michelena und 3. Preis, VII Preis für Fotografie Luis Felipe Toro, Nationaler Rat der Kultur, Conac (1987); 1. Preis für Fotografie, Nationale Halle der visuellen Künste, Caracas (1988); 1. Preis, IX Preis für Fotografie Luis Felipe Toro, Conac, einzigartiger Preis für Fotografie, XVI Halle Aragua, Museum der Kunst von Maracay, Edo. Aragua, einzigartiger Preis der Fotografie, XLIX Halle Arturo Michelena und einzigartiger Preis der Fotografie, III Biennale von Guayana, Edo. Bolivar (1991); Eladio Alemán Sucre, LI Hall Arturo Michelena 1993); 97 Ehrenerwähnung, Preis der lateinamerikanischen Fotografie Josune Dorronsoro, Museum der schönen Künste, MBA (1997); und 98 Erster Preis, II Biennale der Landschaft, MACMMA (1998).
Seine erste Einzelausstellung fand 1973 statt: "Man and Sculpture". Er hat Ausstellungen sowohl in Venezuela als auch in vielen anderen Ländern durchgeführt.
