Nathalie Daoust wurde in Montreal, Kanada, geboren, wo sie am Cegep du Vieux-Montreal Fotografie studierte, bevor sie nach New York City zog, um an " New York Hotel Story", ihrem ersten veröffentlichten Fotobuch, zu arbeiten. Im Jahr 2001 zog sie für zwei Jahre nach Japan, um das Rotlichtviertel von Tokio zu dokumentieren. Nathalie Daoust was born in Montreal, Canada, where she studied photography at the Cegep du Vieux-Montreal before moving to New York City to start working on " New York Hotel Story", her first published photography book. In 2001 she moved to Japan for a period of two years to document the red light district of Tokyo. She has since participated in several solo and group exhibitions in Canada, the United States, Poland, Spain, England and Tokyo. Her photographs have been the subject of many publications and were awarded several prizes.
She lives and works in Japan.
